About Lauren

Hi! My name is Lauren Correa. I’m a creative marketer and self-taught web designer.

My Career

After graduating from Rowan University with a degree in Entrepreneurship, I spent my years after graduation developing my own online magazine and doing freelance web design.

In 2016, I began my first marketing job at Conlin’s Print, where I redesigned the website, developed and launched a print blog, managed social media outlets, and conceptualized and designed print and digital marketing collateral. In 2019, I took a job at GBLI | Global Indemnity, where I wrote SEO optimized blog content, managed the email marketing campaigns, created content for a variety of social media outlets, and created marketing videos.

In 2023, I stepped away from working full time to be a stay-at-home mom. Since that time, I’ve been enjoying spending my time with my little one, but I still make time for my personal blog.

My Passion for Publications

Since I was a child, I’ve been passionate about publications and writing. I wrote and compiled newspapers, magazines, comic books, catalogs, and storybooks. I love writing, but I was always especially excited at the idea of having my own platform. At twelve, this led me to wanting my own website, so I taught myself web design and launched a fan site for my favorite actress at the time. As an adult, I put these skills to use when I launched an online Christian magazine called The You Are Project.

Despite my digital experience, I’ve never lost my passion for print. There’s something special about holding a beautiful designed publication in your hand, and I will forever advocate for the power of print.

My Family

My husband Juan and I were married in 2020 in the thick of the global pandemic. We moved into our home in South Jersey around that same time, and we are slowly renovating it one project at a time. In July of 2023, I gave birth to my daughter Alexa. She’s become an energetic little girl, and I enjoy spending my days with her.
